WhatsApp: Right-wing extremists spread Nazi symbols in group chats

Among other things, with pictures of a few sweet coffee cups and dinos WhatsApp has presented on October 25, a new sticker feature for the popular messenger. The feature should be "available in the coming weeks for Android and iPhone," it was then in the official blog. The feature has been published - and causes a stir. As the Jewish Forum shared with Twitter, right-wing extremists use the feature to spread Nazi symbols in group chats - including swastikas, SS runes and pictures of Adolf Hitler. The stickers are created by the users themselves.

"These anti-Semitic stickers are unacceptable and we do not want them in WhatsApp, we strongly condemn this hate," a WhatsApp spokesman told the "Bild". "If users get stickers with illegal content, we ask them to report it and we will act accordingly against shipping." That could go to the blocking of an account, from which the appropriate content was sent.
