Triathlon with child and cone
I'm Tina (29) and I'm from Roth near Nürnberg. If you grow up in the "Triathlon stronghold Roth", you have only two options: Either you are one of many thousands of volunteers or you sign up for the triathlon as an active athlete. Every year, the city of Roth welcomes around 4,000 athletes, or rather "crazy people". In 2009, I will be one of them, which means I swim 3.8 km, then cycle 180 km and then run a marathon. Together with my friend Gerhard (37) and the two children Lisamarie (3) and Luke (6 months) I live in a beautiful house in the middle of Roth. At age 10, I did my first triathlon, since then I've been infected by this sport. After completing my training as a painter, I attended the master school in Stuttgart until 2002. Since then I work as a junior manager in the parental business. That makes me very happy, even though I am usually the first and the last to enter or leave the office or construction site.
In July I will start at the Quelle Challenge in Roth. In the hard training phase it could already come to difficulties. After all, I have to live the next half year very disciplined and above all very well organized. The day starts running at five o'clock in the morning before I finish the daycare for the kindergarten and I have to be in the office myself at half past eight. The health may happen to me in the coming months, nothing that would otherwise lead to a training backlog. So it will be interesting to see if I will be able to create the most beautiful and biggest triathlon in the world with a child and a cone in July. For me it would be the fulfillment of my dream and the satisfaction that I can do everything I have planned for myself.
