Jourdan and Matt Moore wanted nothing more than a child. Since Jourdan suffers from Crohn's disease, they could not even have a baby. But the couple tried to adopt a child for almost ten years. The long wait, however, went to their substance - they decided to adopt embryos that should be used in their friend Hollie. The pregnancy was successful and the couple were overjoyed when they learned that they were twins. But suddenly there were complications in the 24th week of pregnancy.

The twins Jaxson and Cadence came four months (!) Too early to the world. Joy and fear were as close to each other's new parents as never before. Finally, they had their two sweethearts with them, but they had to fear for their lives. For three months, they were lying on the infant intensive care unit. "In the intensive care unit, you're just concentrating on survival, day after day, hour after hour," Matt told Huffington Post.

But the twins did it. Although Cadence needs extra oxygen and Jaxson is pretty short-sighted, both are well. Now Jourdan and Matt want to encourage other parents of premature babies. For one of the first pictures with his son dad now writes on Instagram:

On this day ... One year ago October 16th Jaxson fit inside his daddy's hand. Hey what 23 days old and weighed 1lb 8oz. Exactly one week prior he had a breathing spell unlike any others. I was there with him when he stopped breathing and his heart dropped so low it almost stopped. I watched an amazing team at NICU staff jump into action. His tiny body was still and gray as one nurse gave chest compressions with her thumbs, and another doctor was standing in his throat. In that moment I thought I might never see this beautiful scene again ... Father holding his son. A week later here we were, enjoying the preciousness of life. And now this father wrestles with the same little boy who is a non-stop ball of energy and a constant source of joy in our lives. God is good. #touchesoflove

From her story, other parents should now take courage. "If we did not disclose where we started - some of our hardest moments - then we would not reveal the complete joy we feel today." On her Instagram account, the family shows how happy they are today and wants their story to be shared.
