The mystery of eternal life

Spain in the 16th century, at the time of the Inquisition: The Spanish adventurer and explorer Tomas (Hugh Jackman) fights for the life of his queen. On behalf of his mistress, he goes in search of the mysterious tree of life, so as to save his queen and thus give her eternal life.

All three are in search of the mystery of eternal life in order to save their beloved's life. Apparently they all reach the destination of their search. Discoverer Tomas reaches the temple that holds the tree of life after long hardships and almost lost hope. The scientist Tommy manages the medical breakthrough in the fight against the previously incurable disease and the nameless man in space reaches the level of perfect, inner enlightenment. But the reality of death remains? but offers everyone an unexpected twist.

Director Darren Aronofsky ("Reqiuem for a Dream") places the human existence and the desire for immortality in "The Fountain" at the center of the plot. He uses aesthetic images to address the sensitive side of man, who in real life also finds himself confronted with the question of love, death and one's own existence. He brings in a sensitive and sensitive way to the audience to think beyond their own mental shell.
