Shock to Nathalie Volk: Her mother faces imprisonment
Nathalie Volk's mother has been on trial since Monday. The accusation: The teacher has traveled despite a sick leave with her daughter to filming in Australia for RTL jungle champ.

Nathalie's mother, Viktorija Volk, accompanied Nathalie into the jungle in January 2016. Only stupid, that the team could watch in the evening on television. Viktorija Volk was suspended from teaching as a teacher. The public prosecutor Lüneburg now accuses her of using an "incorrect health certificate". Since Nathalie's mother did not want to pay the fine of 7,000 euros, she now faces a higher fine or up to a year in prison.
Is the health certificate faked?
A big shock for the former 'GNTM' candidate Nathalie Volk, who also had to testify as a witness. Nathalie worried about her sick mother last year and did not want to leave her alone. "She (Viktorija Volk) said that she had really fallen ill, that her daughter had pleaded with her to come along - that was good for the recovery," said court spokesman Stefan Stodolkowitz.
Staying sick while on vacation?
"I wanted to get a signature from my headmistress for the trip, but before that, I went to the doctor because I was sick, wanted to get sick, suggested psychiatric treatment, and it scared me because it would get around school quickly ... ", says Viktorika Volk on Monday according to Bild. But after the special leave was denied, the teacher had three weeks sick leave because of exhaustion - and nonetheless enters the trip to Australia.
"I like to fly and was happy to get out, I was very well on the trip, but after that it was terrible, nobody talked to me, some colleagues turned away," says Viktorija Volk.
How the process goes on remains to be seen.
