Seven sentences, forgiven only the best friend
If someone else said that, would we probably go crazy? Of course, with the closest friends, we are much more tolerant. But we probably would not be friends any more. And we appreciate that each one of us has heard at least one of those annoying, slightly insulting and sometimes just funny phrases in their lives.
1. "Should not we share the piece of cake?"The correct answer to this can only be: "No, of course not, I want a whole piece of cake, if you only want half of it, please order it that way!"
2. "Now get together! " Thanks for the suggestion, but if I could pull myself together, I would do that. Really. Right now I do not need any reprimand, even if you're right. And if you were not my girlfriend, I would really freak out now.
3. "I do not want to go yet, it's only 5 o'clock". Exactly, it's five o'clock and I have to take care of three children tomorrow. Unfortunately, I can not leave you alone in your condition. That's why I'll take you now, pack you in the taxi and probably say the following sentence to you:
4. "You are totally drunk, you better lie down", You do not want to hear, but sometimes it's just right. And you're sure to be happy about this sentence the next morning. Even if you would like to stab your girlfriend at the party.
5. "You're exaggerating a bit now!", That can be natural, but no one wants to hear that anyway. In no situation. But, okay, we've known each other for so long, maybe there's a little bit of something in what you say.
6. "You look really pale today / tired / annoyed today." This is probably because I am very, very tired / annoyed and therefore pale.
