Queen Elizabeth II: So she spends her summer vacation
Of course, queens also go on holiday: Queen Elizabeth II (92) has now taken her well-deserved summer break and on Friday for Buckingham Palace opened in London in the direction of Scotland. There she will spend her holidays at Balmoral Castle, her classic summer residence, and spend the whole summer there. On average, the Queen stays in Scotland for about twelve weeks. By the way, she does not neglect her official duties: Every day, the most important documents are handed over to her in red boxes and processed.
As every year, many guests are expected in the coming weeks to numerous garden parties. The closer relationship will of course be as always on site. For Duchess Meghan (36) it will be the first royal summer in Scotland. However, she will not see Balmoral Castle for the first time on the side of her husband, Prince Harry (33). Already in September of last year, shortly before the announcement of her engagement, she and Harry visited the Queen in Scotland.
