Philip Kerr: The British bestselling author has died

The British bestselling author Philip Kerr (1956 - 2018) has died. This was announced by Rowohlt Verlag on Twitter. "We are mourning for Philip Kerr. The author of the Bernie Gunther series and many wonderful children's and teen books has passed away at the age of 62," reads the March 24 tweet. Previously, the death of the writer had been announced by his wife Jane Thynne (56).

"Peace in peace, beloved Philip Kerr, inventor of the wonderful Bernie Gunther, brilliant author and admired father and husband, 1956 - 2018," tweeted the British journalist. Kerr leaves behind his wife the three children of the couple.
