Ouch! These baby names repent mothers the most

Every fifth mother regrets the name of her baby

Especially with the first name of the child, parents always put a lot of effort - after all, a person will spend the rest of his life with it. But no matter how long it was sought after, argued about it and how proud he was eventually proclaimed: satisfied with the name of the child many parents are not in retrospect. Almost 20 percent of all mothers in a survey conducted by the British portal mumsnet said they regret the choice of their name. Some just a few weeks after birth (32 percent), others only later, at school (23 percent). Even 12 percent knew even before the birth that they had chosen the wrong name - and still remained with their decision.

How can that happen?

Most of all, that the name is far too common has disturbed many mothers at a later date: a good quarter stated that they bothered, how common is their children's name. 21 percent said he simply "does not feel right". And a tragic 20 percent have always found the baby's name awful, but feel under pressure to protest. Sometimes the zeitgeist simply thwarts the calculation: "Elsa" was not exactly a trend name before "Frozen". And many parents who called their daughter "Siri" are now annoyed when tens of iPhones jump on the playground next to them when they call their daughter.

These names are the most regretted

The British "Guardian" also clarifies on what name parents bother the most after:Charlotte, Amelia, Anne, Daniel, Jacob, James and Thomas are therefore the most common candidates for hangover after baptism. They are all actually very beautiful names - and thus very common, what parents according to poll yes bothers most! And the regret is deeper than you think: Almost ten percent of the respondents have even played at least with the idea of perhaps completely changing the name later!
