Luggage: With these tricks you can take twice as much

You need clothes for seven days, but as a precaution have you packed 26 outfits? Then you definitely do something wrong when packing a suitcase. And that works for us all. We either take too much, the wrong garments, or just half of what we really need. Drama! This will be different this year. We know ten best tricks thanks to which you finally no longer have to despair.

1. Make selection

Do I really need that? You should always ask that before you pack something in your suitcase. Winter boots in Mallorca or flip flops in Tyrol are not a good idea. It's best to calculate how many days you're going to drive away and put together complete outfits. Certain parts you can wear twice, for example, cardigans or sweaters.

2. Roll or fold?

One thing is certain: in this question, the ghosts differ. Some swear by accurately folded clothes - others swear by small clothes sausages in their suitcases. The fact is that there is no right answer. Some things fold better, such as silk pieces or blousons. Pants or cotton shirts, on the other hand, you can roll without problems. The important thing is that you make good use of the space.

3. stuff gaps

Whether rolled or folded - fills every little corner in your suitcase. You can, for example, stuff socks into your shoes or fill small gaps with underwear or bikinis. That's why the little things always end up in the suitcase. So you keep track of how many socks you have at all.

4. Save space

Your favorite shoes are way too bulky, but should still be with you? No problem! Then she just pulls on the flight. In general, it's best to just carry things that take up the most space in your suitcase while you're traveling. If in doubt, you can take them off in the airplane or the car anyway.

5. What is in the hand luggage?

Even if you give your bags as normal luggage, you should definitely do a few things in your carry-on. It could happen that your suitcase is lost. For example, you should always have important medications with you, as well as a charger for your smartphone. Camera and Co. should not in the suitcase, they could break during transport.

6. Minis are a must

Too much stuff and too few suitcases? We know that. That's why you can save space by not taking your big shampoo bottles and body lotions with you. Either fill them in small containers or buy your favorite products in a Travel Size. And if you want to take some of it with you in your carry-on, remember: You can not take anything over 100 milliliters and you'll be thrown away without batting an eyelid.
