Johnny Depp: This process saves him

Johnny Depp (55, "Murder on the Orient Express") has apparently reached an agreement in the lawsuit with his former managers. This has prevented a process that should have started in August, reports "Variety".

Depp has sued his former managers in January 2017. His allegation: They allegedly spent several million dollars without his permission. The actor wanted to sue for damages in the amount of 25 million dollars. The accused management company filed then according to "Variety" counterclaim, in which it was claimed that Depp was responsible for his financial difficulties. It lists millions of dollars spent on wine, luxury homes, household personnel, art, private jets, security services, and the cannon that blew up Hunter S. Thompson's (1937-2005) ashes at his memorial service in 2005.

What the unification of the two sides looks like is not known, according to the report. "Johnny Depp is pleased to have reached a settlement agreement with The Management Group after taking legal action against the company in January 2017," said an actor spokesman. "The lawsuit against the Management Group - and the subsequent agreement - is further evidence that Johnny is determined to protect his personal and artistic reputation in the interests of his family and career." The other side should also be satisfied with the comparison, reports "Variety", citing unspecified sources.

Another lawsuit filed by Johnny Depp against his former lawyer is still ongoing. After agreeing with his former managers, Depp wants to focus his attention on his art, the statement goes on to say, especially the second part of the sold-out Hollywood Vampires Tour and the launch of J.K. Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald's Crime". The film with Depp in the role of Gellert Grindelwald will be released in cinemas in November.
