For 365 days only second hand - and it looks bombastic!

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Spoil second-hand clothes, are bulky and come straight from the old clothes bag? what do you dislike people who think so?

Hindi Kiflai: I'll just say: Click www.daily-rewind.debecause I prove the opposite. The variety that you find in the shopping streets, you will also find second hand. There really is something for every taste. Who does not believe, lives really behind the moon!

Hindi outfits on "DailyRewind": Really, is this second hand?

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Is not it really time-consuming to put together so many different outfits with second-hand clothes?

Hindi Kiflai: It takes a lot of time. I have to organize myself well. But that's because I'm photographed every day and need to show something on the blog. The shopping itself does not take longer with me, since I am now practiced. There are several thrift stores in Frankfurt that I go to regularly. The advice is much more personal than with the big chains. When I show up there, I often get greeted with the sentence "I've got something really great for you".

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: How does your environment react to the second-hand project?

Hindi Kiflai: People who have not noticed anything, it does not notice. Nobody looks at me and thinks: Those are all used clothes. I often hear from others: You can not tell me that it's second-hand! I refute the common stereotype.

Hindi's tips on buying second-hand clothes

1. Start small

Do not go off with exaggerated claims. If you're hoping for a Burberry coat for 15 euros, you can only be disappointed.

2. Bring time

Take your time. And look past the stores at different times. Monday mornings are probably very different than Thursday afternoon.

3. Do not rush

Stay true to your style first. If you are on ring shirts, buy a ring shirt in the thrift store. And then you feel your way ahead.

4. Ignore sizes

Do not be confused by clothing sizes, which are very different in second-hand clothes than in the shop. Best to try it on!

4. Try it!

Very important: Bock on it and are open for new.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Did your style change with DailyRewind?

Hindi Kiflai: He has become even more versatile. I got access to clothes through the project, which I would not even have touched otherwise - a Chloé jeans for example, that's absolutely insane. My mission is to show it: no matter what type you are and what style you wear, it works just as well with secondhand clothes.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Why is this message so important to you?

Hindi Kiflai: I am a journalist and realized that after the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh, not only the manufacturers were convicted, but also the customers who bought five outfits for 30 euros from Primark and other fast fashion chains , There was always this raised index finger and the request to buy more sustainable. That's easy to say, if you're over 30 and have a bit of budget available. But honestly, how is that supposed to work for a 16-year-old? The answer is: with secondhand. Wearing used clothing saves resources and is sustainable. And you can have fun with fashion as well. I want to show that.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: In the meantime, more than 130 days of your second hand year have ended. Have you had moments when you wanted to throw everything away?

Hindi Kiflai: Sometimes I wondered why I did this to me. But I'm a discipline queen: if I start something, I pull it off too. I learn a little more every day how to integrate it into my life.
