Doctor Strange 2: Scott Derrickson again as a director

The story of "Doctor Strange" continues. As reported by "The Hollywood Reporter" returns for the sequel of the Marvel film not only leading actor Benedict Cumberbatch (42, "Sherlock") alias Stephen Strange. Also Scott Derrickson (52) will be back. He staged the first film in 2016 and wrote on the screenplay. The script for "Doctor Strange 2" is still in the balance.

A scriptwriter does not give it yet, it continues on the US side. In the near future, they would go in search of a suitable writer, after all, the script should already be completed in 2019, to begin in 2020 with the filming of the Marvel sequel. The theatrical release for "Doctor Strange 2" is supposedly scheduled for May 2021. However, there is no official confirmation.

Do they return too?

In addition to Benedict Cumberbatch fans can look forward to the return of Benedict Wong (47). He will once again be seen as Stephen Strange's right-hand man Wong. Whether or not Rachel McAdams (40) will slip back into her role as Christine Palmer is still unclear.
