Cook in the frying tube

Well wrapped in a roasting tube, not only does meat give its best: Everything stays juicy and aromatic, and cooking in a roasting tube saves calories, protects vitamins and minerals. And by the way: It's quite nice when the oven stays clean. We will show you step by step how to cook in a frying tube.

1.

Remove the baking tray and preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Season meat or fish and spread with 1 teaspoon of olive oil to taste (but without fat). Prepare vegetables, cut into small pieces and mix to taste with freshly chopped herbs.

2.

Open the frying tube wide to allow as much air as possible.

3.

First put the vegetables on the bottom of the frying tube. Put the meat on it. 1-2 tbsp mineral water or water.

4.

Close the frying tube (see manufacturer's instructions). Cut off too long knot ends so that the foil does not touch the hot oven walls.

5.

Place the filled roasting tube on the cold baking tray and cut into the upper side with kitchen scissors. Slide the baking tray onto the bottom rail in the oven and cook the meat. Example Kasseler: 1 kilogram of lean Kasselferrichen without bone (photo) takes 30-35 minutes.

6.

Remove the baking tray and cut open the frying tube at the top. Remove the contents and finally pour the liquid over the meat and vegetables.
