The new favorite part: A red leather journal

Thoughts are free ... but sometimes they need a place to be held! For example, in this nice journal. Whether as a travel diary in the upcoming summer vacation or secret place for your poetry collection, in your journal your impressions, fantasies and ideas will find the right home.

With a something modified version of the journal you can also use it to collect and paste great recipes or crafting tutorials, such as the PDF 's of the BYM.de self - made section!

Let's start with the tinkering:

1. Fold the three stacks of paper in the middle and cut the leather.

2. Place all three stacks flush to the right edge of the cut leather and fold in, pull tightly and make marks at the points where the paper blocks are located, about five centimeters from the top and bottom edges.

3. Use punch pliers, punching iron or thick darning needle to punch holes in the leather just at these points.

Step 3 to the finished journal

4. Lay the paper stacks on the leather, align and transfer the positions of the holes to the kink in the paper. There also punch holes.

Step 4 to the finished journal

5. Pull the leather straps through the holes from the outside to the inside, while the middle holes are straight and the outer ones are crossed.

6. Insert the three stacks of paper one at a time and pull the leather band through the holes over the inner fold and knot tightly.

7. Fold the leather cover of the journal together. On the upper front, align the long-flat bead in the middle and place marker points to the left and right of it. Punch holes in these places

8. Pull a leather strap first through the bead, then from outside to inside through the two holes in the leather.

Step 8

9. Attach two more beads to the ends of the leather strap.

10. Wrap the leather bands around the journal, pull them under the flat glass bead, lash them tight and tie them loosely around the bead.
