Among the top five, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain have also made it. Already in GDR times, students, cultural initiatives and writers shaped the image of Prenzlauer Berg. After the fall of the Wall, the district became more popular and impresses with its distinctive nightlife with pubs, cafés and clubs.
