Against the cold: Crochet draft stopper

Wiebke Isa Schoon, seller on DaWanda, has written a great guide for a draft stopper. You can easily crochet it yourself - and make sure that your room stays warm and cozy soon.

You need this:

- 250 grams of cotton, acrylic or new wool in 2 colors - crochet hook thickness 5 - darning needle - filling material - possibly one or more applications

How to do it:

Pick two different colors of wool. Here, the thicker, the better.

Crochet 20 cm mesh in one color. Then crochet back at the row. So keep going until you have a block.

When you have finished a block, at the end knot the second color and crochet the next block. Keep alternating this way until it looks like a scarf.

Then use a darning needle to close the scarf to a tube. Stuff every few centimeters of filler into the resulting roll. When the roll is done, put the crochet hook on top and crochet a snail to close the two ends.

And the draft stopper is ready. To make it even more individual, you can also decorate it with applications.

Wiebke Isa Schoon originally opened her DaWanda shop "Wisa-Isa" to raise money for the animal welfare network Europa e.V. In the meantime, her passion for handcraft has flared up and she has become a real hobby.
