"Your choice" on Sat.1: Fremdschämen with Aust and Christiansen

Sunday evening, Minister of Economic Affairs Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg in conversation with Stefan Aust and Sabine Christiansen - hurray, finally an election broadcast without Horst Schlämmer! That could have been interesting. Especially since Sat 1. had announced the new talk show as a multimedia event in which the viewer can actively co-determine the course of the program.

But instead of co-determination was first called Fremdschämmen. Already when Mrs. Christiansen, who had been advised absurdly to wearing a skinny jeans, the sentence of himself was: "If you want to twitter with us, run your Twitter messages right here in our studio," one began in front of the television embarrassing touched to squirm.

When the actual interview started, it became stressful, because in the effort to integrate any, but also really any form of electronic communication somehow in the broadcast, as a spectator was unfortunately not able to follow the conversation even rudimentary. While Guttenberg tried to give reasonably serious answers to the shallow questions of the moderators ("How does one feel as a political star?" - "How vain are you?"), Two screens were played behind his head on two screens, and below Through the picture ran a ticker with text messages from spectators. Their content was so hollow ("Before the election they promise a lot, then it looks different") that they ultimately served only one purpose: the final proof that 90 percent of all Twitter and SMS messages are completely superfluous.

In addition, you had to endure a live circuit in the living room of the prince-singer Sebastian Krumbiegel, who was filmed watching the program that you just watched yourself (!).

In all this madness, Aust and Christiansen made a desperate effort to present modern media behavior with casual matter-of-factness. It was about as believable as adult people using expressions like "full blatant" and "ey, fat" to adore teens.

If somebody actually said something interesting in this electronic mess, that unfortunately did not arrive. Many did not make it to the second guest, Oskar Lafontaine.
