Women Fashion Power: the fashion of strong women

Strong women have more important things to do than worry about their clothes. And yet, the public prefers nothing more than Angela Merkel's sexless pantsuits, Duchess Kate's short dresses, and Anna Wintour's luxury looks. The way successful women dress is what interests us. How do these women express their position in their dress style? What role does fashion play in demonstrating power and personality?

An exhibition at the London Design Museum explores these questions: "Women Fashion Power". Women like fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet, mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, or Megha Mittal, head of fashion house Escada, have each provided one of their personal outfits and share their style philosophy.

The exhibition, designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, combines these outfits with exclusive interviews, multimedia and period costumes. It will be on display until April 26, 2015. Further information at www.designmuseum.org.
