"Popular on Netflix" or "Suggestions based on your preferences"? all well and good. But do not you sometimes have the feeling that Netflix always shows you the same films in the pre-selection? Or do you find the search function of the streaming provider often too cumbersome? Then you will probably love the following knowledge as much as we do!
With a simple trick you can outsmart the algorithm of the streaming provider. Or just bypass the bustling homepage of the portal! And that goes like this: Netflix actually has many, many playlists with thematically sorted movies. Each of these lists has its own number. And so you can directly select the genre.
Use Netflix Codes: That's how it works
To do this, log in to Netflix and enter the following link in the URL line of your browser:www.netflix.com/browse/genre/Behind it (behind the last "/") do you copy the "code" of the desired genre? and ends up in the list full of movies!
(Example: The sub-genre "Scandinavian Movies" has the number 9292, So you enter as URL: www.netflix.com/browse/genre/9292and ends up in the list!)
Can you imagine how vieeeeeele's films are in the Netflix library? according to many numbers there are. And, attention: The numbers do not necessarily work transnationally! Google spits out innumerable codes, but not all of them, e.g. from Germany are selectable. Here it is in doubt "try makes smart"!
