Will & Grace: This "Friends" star is in the new season

"Will & Grace" meets "Friends"! David Schwimmer (51) will play a guest role in the tenth season of "Will & Grace", as "Deadline" reports. In a total of five episodes he is to embody the new friend of title character Grace (Debra brass).

Schwimmer returns to his sitcom origins almost fifteen years after leaving the cult series "Friends," where he has starred as Ross Geller for ten seasons. Most recently, he won the award-winning drama series "The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" as Robert Kardashian, who earned him his second Emmy nomination in 2016. Already in 1995 he was nominated for his performance in "Friends".

The revival surpasses all expectations

The 18 new episodes of "Will & Grace" will be on view in the US from 4 October - and eagerly awaited. The series originally ended in 2006 after eight successful seasons. In 2017, the sitcom celebrated its big comeback and is considered the most watched comedy series of the NBC home channel.

The complete cast returned to the cameras for the revival. Besides Debra Messing (49) and Eric McCormack (55) as Will and Grace, of course, their two sidekicks Megan Mullally (59) and Sean Hayes (48) are also on board as Karen and Jack. There will also be a reunion with Alec Baldwin (60) in the tenth season. The Hollywood star returns as Karen's secret lover Malcolm. Incidentally, an eleventh season has already been ordered. When the new episodes will be seen in Germany, is not yet known. The ninth season was broadcast on ProSieben in May.
