WHO warns: Fatal disease is spreading unusually fast

What's up with the unusual spread?

WHO health experts warn that the disease is currently more prevalent than it has been for a long time. We're talking about the plague, also known as the Black Death. This treacherous disease took millions of people in the Middle Ages and put out whole villages. But you are not safe from it today.

Where does it spread?

The current distribution area is located in Madagascar. Here breaks the plague again and again? especially in rainy seasons. Because then many infected rats seek shelter in people's dwellings. Now, however, the WHO reports unusually many sufferers and dead: Within only four weeks were counted according to official WHO message 73 infected and 17 fatalities.



How dangerous is the situation?

The WHO, however, still assumes a moderate threat, for tourists, for example. Concerned in the areas should be careful, do not touch dead rodents and consult a doctor for insect bites.
