Why a wedding ring?

Wedding rings can also be bought shortly before the wedding: "It takes us about ten days to make it," says Regine Ulber. Only those who want rings with an individual design should visit the jeweler three to four weeks before the deadline. How much is a wedding ring?
Regine Ulber recommends that you choose one-piece rings that have no seam, which offers advantages for resizing them later: "Only rings without seams can be widened without problem, a thicker ring can be changed by five to six, a narrow at least about four millimeters larger, "says Regine Ulber. Such a wedding ring is slightly more expensive than the variant with a weld, it costs in yellow gold and a narrow version from about 300 euros. Ring variations with diamond cost - in a flawless stone - from about 800 €. Of course, there are no limits to the price.
Engraving: design and durability
Wedding rings are engraved inside, the classic variant: Date of marriage plus the first name of the partner. Here, too, the couple has many opportunities to customize their rings. For example, the engraving can be applied as a facsimile, that is, the couple writes date and name by hand, which is then transmitted; Also possible are personal messages, symbols or even a "love story", that is, a small text that is engraved several times smaller in square form in the ring. Of course, this is only possible with a wider ring variant.
The engraving lasts a lifetime - but it is flatter with the decades, many jewelers are gentle and let the engraving follow suit.

Slightly domed rings tend to be more comfortable for most people, according to Regine Ulber's experience - they have a smaller footprint.
Engagement and wedding ring in one
If you want to spend only once for a really nice ring, you can also opt for the following variant: The rings are adapted for the engagement on the left hand and engraved only with the name; When the wedding is over, the date is re-engraved, and the rings are adjusted to the right hand if desired.
