Toothpaste in the test - with surprising results!

The Stiftung Warentest has examined 32 universal toothpastes from supermarkets, drugstores and discounters. 29 of them reliably protect against tooth decay, three are deficient.

It shows surprisingly: Expensive is not automatically good! The tested pastes had 100-milliliter prices between 36 cents and 9 euros, also was a gold dust toothpaste for just under 100 euros in the test. Above all, the own products of shops such as Kaufland, Lidl or Rossmann were among the shining victors.

The Stiftung Warentest comments: "Among the front runners in the test are three particularly favorable toothpastes, which offer optimal caries prophylaxis and also reliably remove discolouration." All three, like most toothpastes in the test, contain zinc that works against bacteria and thus against plaque. Tartar, gingivitis and bad breath protects. "

Test winner was according to the picture the Kaufland K-Classic Multicare (65 cents, grade 1.3) Colgate Total Daily Repair (about 1.68 Euro, grade 1.5), el-cemed herbs plus (about 99 cents, grade 1.5), Lidl Detalux complex 3 herbs fresh (45 cents, grade 1.5) and Rossmann Perlodent Med herbs (45 cents, grade 1.5).
