To the wedding of Harry & Meghan: beggars are to disappear from the city!
The whole world is really excited when it comes to the wedding of the year. On May 19th, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will perform in front of the wedding altar. But as great as the excitement surrounding the royal java is, so vehement is the criticism that has now been sparked by a British politician.
The homeless throw a "bad light" on the city
In an open letter, Windsor Council chairman Simon Dudley calls for the banishment of all homeless people from the city on the occasion of the Blaublüter wedding anniversary. For one, because of these one "worrying and hostile atmosphere" go out, for another, because they "to make a beautiful city appear in a bad light" would. This is unacceptable given the millions of tourists who would come to the city for the May wedding.
In a Twitter post, he calls on the Windsor police to tackle the "epidemic of homelessness and vagrancy." If it were up to Dudley, a law from 1824 would come into force again, which makes the overnight stay and begging criminal.
Sadly there is an epidemic of rough sleeping and vagrancy in #Windsor @RBWM. I want to be @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @ @!

Luckily, these absurd demands meet with little favor. While aid organizations call his statements "abominable" according to the Guardian, Prime Minister Theresa May also expressed her displeasure with Dudley. In their opinion, more work should be done to find adequate shelter for the vulnerable.
The Kensington Palace, however, keeps out of the debate so far. But since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been socially involved for a long time, and especially the 33-year-old? like his late mother Diana? A lot for the homeless, the demands of the conservative politician are unlikely to please them.
