This woman explains in 5 sentences what men do not understand about rape

Actually, one should indeed think that really, really everyone has understood by now that rape is always a crime - on which the victim is never to blame. Nevertheless, after every case that comes to the public, the same voices are still reliably reporting the "critical questions". Was the woman drunk? Makeup? Did she wear tight or short clothes? Has she ever smiled at the attacker too nicely? Was not this an invitation?

Why do we have to seriously talk about it?

The answer is absolutely clear: NO, none of this justifies the crime of rape - or even gives the victim a "partial blame". And who wants to discuss it seriously, outes very publicly as idiots.

Twitter user Nafisa Ahmed could not hear the eternally same comments and wrote a much more elegant replica: In just five sentences, she makes clear why all these arguments are stupid, dangerous and simply wrong:

"This makes it easier to understand:"

I do not get how rape is so hard to understand for some men. But, if you put it like this, they get it:

If I let you borrow $ 5, that does not give you the right to take your $ 5 out of my purse.
"But you gave him some, why can not I?"

Just because I gave you $ 5 in the past, does not mean I have to give you $ 5 in the future.

Ok, rant over. Times like this are good because it lets me know what time to spend.

"I do not know why rape is so difficult for some men to understand, but if you explain it that way, you get it."

  • If you ask me to give you five dollars, and I'm too drunk to say yes or no, it's not okay to just take five dollars out of my purse ... just because I did not say no.
  • If you hold a gun to my head to give you five dollars, you still stole five dollars. Although I physically put it in your hand.
  • Lending YOU five dollars does not mean that your FRIEND has the right to take five dollars out of my pocket. "But you gave him something, why not me?"
  • If you steal five dollars and I can not prove it in court, that does NOT mean you did not steal five dollars.
  • If you get it all, why do not you understand what a "rape" is? Thanks, men!

Nafisa concludes her statement with the words, "Okay, let's see, this is always good because it shows me which men I should avoid." - Presumably a reaction to all the troll comments that give a clear opinion on rape. The majority of Twitter users are enthusiastic and spread the 5-dollar analogy lightning fast in the net. Maybe next time a few more people will think before asking about the skirt length of the victim.
