Keep your wrist in the sunlight, if the veins shimmer through bluish-purple and the skin has a rosé-blue glow, you have a cool Hauterterton. Incidentally, four out of five women in Germany have that. Another indicator is the sun tolerance of the skin. If the skin burns very quickly, with little or no browning, the level of melanin is low, and it can be assumed that it is a pink, bluish-red undertone.

This is usually true light to medium brown hair, light green, hazel, gray or blue eyes, natural blond or red hair, a pale complexion and freckles.

These foundation tones match the cool skin undertone: Foundations with bluish or pink undertones match cool skin types. Some make-up manufacturers choose their product names afterwards (for example "cool beige", "natural rose" or "rose beige").

The following trick also helps to determine the skin undertone: Wrap a white T-shirt around the hair and neck. The white then reflects the coloring of your skin. If it is bluish, your Hautunterton is cool. However, if your skin looks rather yellowish, you are probably a warm skin type.

A general tip for the foundation purchase:

By the way, when trying out a foundation you should not take your wrists or the palm of your hand, because the skin on the face is usually redder. The wrist is great for determining the skin undertone, but a make-up nuance should actually be tried on the face. Make-up queen Bobbi Brown recommends: "Apply three tones with a little distance next to each other, go as far as possible to the daylight, and see which one connects best with the skin - that's the right one." In general you should better resort to yellowish tones, because pink-tinted foundations look more mask-like. "

The Foundation: That's how you put it on properly

  1. Before applying the foundation, cleanse the face and moisturize well with a moisturizer.
  2. First cover dark circles and small impurities with a concealer and work well, so that no edges are created.
  3. Incorporate the foundation with a foundation brush or fingers and massage in circular movements. Distribute the texture evenly on the face and blind at the neck.
  4. To fix: matt the face with transparent powder. Finished!
