T? La Yoga: meditating with piano

What do you do at T? La Yoga?

In the first part dynamic exercises from the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In T? La Yoga, they combine with the breath and beat of piano music. The music that was composed especially for this purpose sets the breathing rhythm and helps to breathe evenly in the asanas all the time. even if the positions become more complicated and exhausting.

The idea behind it: The piano pieces have the tempo of the natural rest pulse. "To breathe consciously and evenly in this frequency while performing dynamic, fluid yoga exercises reduces stress and brings new energy," explains yoga instructor and composer Andreas Loh, who invented T? La Yoga.

In the second part of the course you stay in static stretch positions for a few minutes to release blockages and gain new energy. Andreas Loh plays live on the piano. "Listening consciously to the music leads the participants inward, to their own feelings and thoughts," says Loh. That's exactly what T? La Yoga is all about: recognizing yourself.?

For whom is T? La Yoga suitable?

For those who want to come down or find themselves. The courses are aimed at beginners and advanced.

How was it?

In the beginning it is really exhausting to breathe in the same rhythm all the time. The exercise sequences that are also uncomplicated for yoga beginners are dynamic. For example, the dog looking up quickly goes into the dog who is looking down. By the third round at the latest I have to concentrate very much at this point to keep my breath calm. The fourth time I get a gasp.

Nevertheless, I feel calm and completely with me afterwards. Properly restful is the second, static part, where we have to hold different stretching positions for five minutes each (for example, a forward leaning with legs spread). The live piano music is beautiful, mentally I am very far away. And wonderfully relaxed.
