Stranger Things 3: The brand new trailer for season three is here

The kids from "Stranger Things" are united again. On Wednesday, Netflix released the brand new trailer for the third season of the hit series. And obviously a lot of time has passed since the events of the second season, because the new trailer shows that Elf, Mike and Co. have become young teenagers. After all, the fans had to wait just under a year and a half for the new season ... How is the fight against the monsters from the Upside Down going on?

They are all back!

One thing is clear from the trailer: All fan favorites are in the third season again in the fictional town of Hawkins to be found. Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, Max Hargrove, Will Byers and Jane Ives aka Elfi greet at the beginning of the clip Dustin Henderson, who after a long time apparently finally comes home.

Another shot features Mike's sister Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Will's brother Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) - and they're still determined to educate the public about the scary events, because they're in the newspaper's building "The Hawkins Post". Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbor), however, seems to be closer to Will's mother, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder). "I want you to feel safe, I want you to feel like it's still your home," he tells her.

"We're not children anymore," says Mikes voice after a few shots. "What did you think, that I'm sitting in my basement all day?" Next is Will, who disappeared in the first season under mysterious circumstances, with tears in his eyes, he seems to be the only one of the group has a problem with the advancement of his friends and mourn their childhood. Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), on the other hand, still seems to get along well with the gang and above all Dustin.

The eighties have broken out completely

The trailer also suggests that the new season is a lot more colorful and gaudy than the previous episodes - after all, the new episodes play in the summer of 1985. And the eighties have "Stranger Things" in terms of clothes, fully under control. In addition, a new location is introduced: The newly built in the town of Hawkins Starcourt shopping center apparently plays a central role in the new plot and is the scene of scary monster performances.

"A summer can change everything," announces Netflix at the end of the trailer. What exactly is different, the fans may be curious. The new season starts on July 4, 2019.
