Shock after DNA test: fertilization doctor used his own sperm

Kelli Rowlette was born by artificial insemination in the early eighties. She did not know that for a long time, but now it came to light. Because recently, the American thought: why not even send DNA to Ancestry.com and see what happens? What turned out, the 36-year-old, however, initially did not believe.

Fertilized in a double sense

According to her DNA test, her biological father is a retired doctor named Gerard E. Mortimer. And behold! Rowlette owes her life in a double sense: Mortimer is the doctor who treated her parents at that time, performed artificial insemination and gave birth to her mother.

Rowlette's parents had apparently tried unsuccessfully for a long time to get a common child by natural means before committing to fertility specialist Gerard Mortimer. He found an unfortunate combination in the couple: a low sperm count in Rowlette's father in spe and a back-leaning uterus in her mother. Hence the artificial insemination.

While he told the couple, he used a mix of the man's sperm and an anonymous donor who met the demands of both? to be like the man? In truth, he used his own sperm. Et voilà: Nine months later little Kelli was born.

Signature on birth certificate

Abandoned: When Rowlette learned the name of her biological father after the DNA test, her parents first walled and said nothing about the story. However, Rowlette accidentally came to the truth when her birth certificate fell into her hands once again: she was signed by Gerard Mortimer.

However, there is now a case against them for fraud and violation of medical due diligence. Who knows what else will happen? Maybe the doctor has more descendants who know nothing about it. And Kelli Rowlette a few half siblings!
