Pleated skirt (for experts) and scarf (for beginners)

Instructions: Sew pleated skirt

You need this: 2 m fabric (150 cm wide), 1.5 m lining material 15 cm zipper, zipper feet, matching sewing thread, wrapping paper to make the paper cut.

cutting: 2 patterned-fabric backs, 1 patterned-fabric skirt (in the fabric), 2 fabric-lined backs, 1 fabric-covered front (4-way), 4 patterned-fabric backs, 2 patterned-fabric front panels (in the fabric). The pattern can be found here

That's how it works: All parts of the skirt have the same cut. The cut shown is in size 38. At the edges marked with ***, the cut can be easily increased or decreased by adding or decreasing 1 cm per size. At all edges a seam allowance of 1.5 cm is included, at the hem 3 cm. Make paper cut according to template, cut out all pieces of fabric and finish edges with zigzag stitch.

Fold the back of the skirt: put the two corners of the dashed lines on top of each other and topstitch the vertical stitching lines. Then lay so that box folds arise, and iron flat. Pro skirt part results in 3 folds, d. h., 6 folds in the skirt back in total. Stitch the fold at the top edge. The wrinkles in the front part work the same way.

Quilting back at the back center, leaving the seam open at the top of the marker for the zipper.

Stitch front and back together at the side seams. Sew with long stitches along the upper edge of the skirt, about 1 cm from the edge. Line up the upper edge of the skirt, d. H. Put on the bobbin thread until the skirt has the width of the yoke. Knot threads and distribute wrinkles evenly. Repeat all steps with the food pieces.

Two Rückpassenteile and a Vorderpassenteil only side by side stitching. The remaining parts will later be used as receipts. Pin the skirt and lining skirt to the yoke, so that both side seams meet. If necessary, adjust the skirt size. Sew skirt and yoke together and iron seam allowance to yoke.

Iron in seam allowance of zipper opening in fabric and lining. Place the zipper between the two layers and attach to the seam allowance so that the zipper teeth lie exactly under the edge. Spread the skirt flat, stitch the zipper with the zipper foot. Stitch passport pieces together at the side seams as described above. Quilt the slip slip right to right at the top edge of the skirt. Turn the document yoke inwards while hitting the edges at the zipper. Iron edges. Stitch the document in the shade of the seam.

Turn the lower hem and the lining 3 cm inwards and iron. Open the hem, then hammer in another 1.5 cm, so that the open edge lies along the material break. Pin hang and hem by hand.
