Sew a baby bedroll yourself

Some time ago we showed you how to sew a beautiful patchwork blanket yourself. From the fabric that we used, Vanessa sewed a nice baby bed roll from the blog "Sauber eingepfädelt". We liked it so much that we would like to share it with all people who love sewing.

Vanessa has a small son, who likes to sleep with his head pressed against the bed wall. Because this is a bit hard for a little baby head, she got the idea with the bedroll. It is not as big as a pillow, but offers a crumple zone between the bed wall and baby head. And if the child is a bit bigger, you can cuddle with the bedroll. And for newly minted mums, the bedroll can certainly be used as a nursing pillow. The Bettrolle of Vanessa's son is about 1.80 meters long. One side is sewn of patchwork squares, the other side of sweat fabric. Before sewing, the fabric should be washed once, so that it does not run in later and the sewing work may have been for nothing.

The detailed step-by-step instructions for the bedroll can be found on Vanessa's blog "Cleanly Threaded". There, the enthusiastic amateur interpreter shares further creative ideas around sewing and do-it-yourselfing.

So that babies do not bump their head against the hard edge of the bed, the soft bedroll serves as a crumple zone.
