Seriously? Grandma's brooches are back in fashion
I've already been involved in accessories for a long time: from cute little nail tattoos to the must-have Birkenstock sandals to the wickedly expensive handbag. But now it's coming colorful. And sparkling until you almost drop your eyes. Brooches. When the first girlfriend with a scary fly on her wide turtleneck turned up at my side, I still thought of a whimsy. I like people with whimsy. But then the brooches followed me on every corner? preferably decorative on wool and other winter clothes. Selected with love? proudly presented. A real eye-catcher. No whimsy, but trend!

Incidentally, the winter trend accessory did not even begin to receive a fanciful make-over in 2018. It still looks the same as it did when Grandma presented her jewelry box. Güldene, heavy pieces of metal? set with gemstones, pearls or rhinestones. So, after learning that the clunkers are now it-pieces, I rummaged through my grandmother's old, now-inherited jewelry box. So far, the content honestly had an emotional value, not a fashionable one. Who would have thought that the jewels of yesteryear are the hottest shit again today? The first sight did not change my skepticism: unfortunately I do not see the much-vaunted glamor. Above all, I see old-fashioned, dusty and super-catlike jewelry.
Clear statement piece: no brooches for me
I pin the first brooch to the scarf and examine my outfit upgrade in the mirror. Seriously? That's what the fashionistas like? Not me. I feel more like a Christmas tree. A little tinsel in the hair and the look would be perfect. Even the second brooch can not tear it out. But some trends need a moment, until I consider them for me. I decide to give the good piece a chance? and I am stared at from all sides. Everything is staring at me on the brooch. Even for me, the brooch flashes constantly in the corner of my eye and feels like a foreign body.
