Santa on the phone: All parents should try this!

Every year again ...

Christmas is in the air - and, of course, children are especially looking forward to Santa's visit. But especially with older children there is a touch of uncertainty in the anticipation. After all, a stranger has in his hand what gifts there are. And if one does not live up to his standards of "good", the whole thing may backfire quickly. Alas, oh hurt ...

A Christmas idea whose time is right

Unscrupulous parents, of course, shamelessly use this slight nervousness to their advantage. Child does not want to clean the room? "No ... no problem, of course you do not have to, darling, but Santa Claus ... well, I do not know if that's so great now ..." Of course, that's not the fine way, but parents know : "Practical" is sometimes more valuable than "fair" (and the trick also has a very short shelf life).

A mother from the USA now had the perfect idea to make the contact with Santa Claus even more impressive: she simply contacts him by mobile phone. On Facebook, she explained her method:

"Siri? Message to Santa Claus!"

As simple as it is subtle: This mother just changed her sister's contact name to "Santa Claus." And when she tells voice-controlled assistant Siri on her iPhone to write "Santa Claus", the message goes to her sister - but the iPhone dutifully reads the message aloud and confirms that it is sending it to the highest authority in the North Pole has been. It is not official!

How unfair!

Yes, of course that is sneaky, so to put his kids so. And to use Santa Claus as a means of pressure, you should save yourself only for real hardship cases, otherwise you spoil the young at some point the joy of Christmas. But you can also use the method for niceties - and send "Santa Claus" the message that the child was especially sweet, or baked really delicious cookies.
