Renate Fritz: "In three steps to the appropriate old-age provision."

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde Academy talked to Renate Fritz about retirement provision and flexibility. Renate Fritz holds on 28.09. at the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde Job Symposium the workshop "In three steps to the appropriate retirement provision."

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde Academy: Why did you become a financial advisor? What moved you to this?
Renate Fritz: My foresighted aunt Helma Sick, who also has a good knowledge of human nature, brought me to her company frau & geld in 1997, to try things out. I soon realized that in this activity I could very well realize my wishes for a job. and it worked well with us from the beginning. I always wanted to be able to work independently, to be among people and to make a difference.

What has made you particularly successful in your job life?
A certain curiosity and determination, coupled with a prudent caution.

Was there a phase in your (job) life when you made a change of direction?
In 2008, Helma Sick offered me the opportunity to participate in the Frau & Geld company and to take over the management with her. This is a leap from the employee to the "junior boss". She offered me an open door and I went through it, with all the consequences.

Which impulses were / are particularly important for you?
Confidence in oneself and trust that comes to you are very important to me. The trust which Helma Sick, my colleagues and, not least, our customers have and will give us, inspires.

Were there phases of doubt or setbacks? What helped you a lot in those moments?
When I signed the shareholder agreement in August 2008, the devastating Lehman bankruptcy came in September in addition to the already prevailing financial crisis. Not exactly ideal for shopping in a financial company. Or just yet! We were very well positioned in the investment sector at that time and the everlasting dynamics of the economy did the rest.

What was the most encouraging sentence in your (job) life and why would you like to share it? // Is there a motto of yours?
I do not have a real motto. But there is a saying that is true and means no suffering before time! First, it comes differently anyway, and second, as you think. So always stay flexible, because nothing stays that way, as it always has been. And do not fall into hectic or blind actionism.

What awaits visitors to the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde Academy Job Symposium in your workshop?
We will look at the subject of old-age provision and I am sure that the visitors will be able to implement one or two impulses in their favor.
