Ran to the wet razors! Which one is the best?

Actually, I epilate my legs. Sometimes the stubble has to be wiped away quickly. And anyway, I only leave the wet shaver on more sensitive areas like the armpits or the bikini area - I just can not bear the plucking there.

In the drugstore, I am amazed at the many razors that there are now (and annoying me very much about the damn expensive spare blades): With cushions, foaming, with integrated body lotion, extra sensitive, five blades, etc .. What wet shaver but makes the best job? Here is the test result.

Wet Shaver "Fantastique" of Balea, about 4 Euro

The cheapest product in the test is the "Fantastique" from Balea. He has five blades - so he removes more hair with one swing than a razor with only three or four blades. I think that's great! Since I tend to razor burn, I am less grateful for any blade contact. Through the strips with aloe vera and vitamin E, it slides very easy on the skin. The only drawback: The oscillating head is quite rigid and does not fit so easily uneven areas such. B. on the knees. If you do not fit properly or shave in a hurry (which is always the case with me), you can easily cut yourself.

Plus point, however, are the replacement blades: four pieces cost only 5 euros. This is really a bargain compared to other razors.

"Venus Embrace Sensitive" by Gillette, about 10 euros

I have been a fan of Gillette's Venus shaver for many years. The Sensitive version has five blades and an aloe vera cushion. This makes shaving pimples really as good as impossible.

Unfortunately, the pillows usually do not last that long, because at least I shave my armpits every two days. Shaving cream is an alternative, but unfortunately not as effective and gentle on the skin as the pillow.

Therefore, I only have a fairly quick replacement of the blade, which in the long run pretty good money (about 23 euros for six blades). The swinging head works great in any case - I've never cut myself with this razor yet.

"Hydro Silk" by Wilkinson, about 10 euros

The "Hydro Silk" Wilkinson cheated on the first shave on a favorite place - and despite initial skepticism. The reason: As already written above, I've been using the "Venus" razor for years. Since this looks so similar to my favorite model, he has never made it into the shopping cart. Wrong: The pillow is equipped with a water-activated, moisture-retaining serum. This ensures that the five blades are surrounded by an almost glibberigen substance when sliding over the skin. Sounds disgusting - but it's great because the shave is so extremely gentle to the skin. In addition, the skin is really nice soft after showering.

Another advantage: The "Hydro Silk" is shaped so that it does not rest on the pillow when you place it down. It has often happened to me that the pillow stuck and became sharp-edged by the detachment. Of course you could also the holder, which is actually every wet razor enclosed, with the suction cup to the shower wall. But honestly: Pretty are these Plastikdinger not. And they do not do any good - at least in my shower.

The replacement blades are unfortunately not much cheaper than Gillette: Three spare blades for the "Hydro Silk" cost around 10 euros.

"Intuition Sensitive Care" by Wilkinson, about 8 euros

Wilkinson's "Intuition" has a razor pad that eliminates the need for shaving cream. As soon as it comes into contact with water, it foams up. I have to admit to my shame that I never use shaving cream - mostly I just take shower gel or conditioner. This will soften the skin so much.

The idea to integrate the foam into the pillow, I think so great. One step less in the shower. However, the "intuition" is too powerful for me. The big pillow is okay on the legs, on the knees or the bikini line I feel the shaver too unwieldy. Another minus point: the skin feels totally dull after shaving - as if you had washed it with normal soap. Unfortunately, that does not change with a different blade: Even with the variant "Dry Skin", whose cushions are made of almond oil and coconut milk, the feeling after shaving is not better.

Therefore, the "intuition" is the only razor in the test that I would not buy again. Incidentally, three spare blades cost about 11 euros.
