Prince Harry breaks his promise to Meghan
Rumors persisted for weeks that Prince Harry (34) would renounce his wife Meghan (37) for the traditional pheasant hunt on 26 December. However, that was not the case: The grandson of Queen Elizabeth II (92), according to "The Sun" took part in the hunt alongside his brother Prince William (36).
The pregnant Duchess Meghan, who is considered a great animal lover, should then have been present at the common meal, as well as Williams wife, Duchess Kate (36). Last year, Harry had not taken part in the hunt, allegedly out of respect for Meghan.
Only one Royal was missing in the hunt
In addition to William and Harry was apparently also Prince Charles (70) on the hunt, which takes place in Sandringham, the manor of the Queen in the English county of Norfolk. The Sun quotes an insider as saying, "William and Harry spent the whole day hunting, and Kate and Meghan came to lunch with the Queen and the rest of the Royals."
Prince Philip, the 97-year-old spouse of the Queen, was therefore not hunting, but was also at the joint meal of the party.
Problem solved?
The queen is "pleased" about it, the unspecified source is further quoted by the paper, "that Kate and Meghan have solved their problems and the year ended in harmony for the whole family." Previously, there had been rumors of tensions within the royal family.
The speculation of disagreements, especially between Meghan and Kate, had come up in November when Harry and his wife announced they were leaving Kensington Palace. The couple, expecting a baby in the spring, moves to Windsor, where they will live in Frogmore Cottage on the Queen's estate.
