Police call 110: For Janina: Is switching on at the Rostock thriller worth it?
The "Police Call 110: For Janina" (11:11, 20:15 clock, the first) runs in the context of the ARD theme week "Justice", which begins on Sunday. What is fair - and what if the judiciary is wrong? These and other questions are dealt with by the Rostock commissioners Katrin König (Anneke Kim Sarnau) and Alexander Bukow (Charly Hübner) in their new case. But what exactly is it and is it worth turning it on?
What's up in crime?
An old unexplained murder, which had been supervised by Commissioner Henning Röder (Uwe Preuss), is being reopened. The perpetrator was acquitted at the time. The commissioners Bukow and King plunge into the investigation. After a renewed DNA test it is clear: Guido Wachs (Peter Trabner), who was acquitted at the time, is actually the murderer of the young girl.
But once you have been charged and acquitted, you can not go back to court for the same act without further ado. Desperately trying Bukow and King, the connection between other murders and Guido wax produce to bring the culprit still behind bars ...
Is it worth switching on?
Yes, because the Rostock team is still one of the most entertaining investigators of the Sunday thriller, which is not least because of the horizontal plot that extends beyond all thrillers. While the tensions between Bukow and his colleague Volker Thiesler (Josef Heynert), who is now firmly in league with Bukov's wife, diminish a bit, the relationship between Bukov and König is being put to the test.
Even with their current case, the commissioners admittedly have a hard time. The fact that profiler König pretty much increases, does not explain that quite, and also many other scene seems a bit too constructed. Nevertheless, the thriller is worth seeing, because the idea is interesting, the actors deliver as always a great performance and the dry humor that characterizes the team, this time not too short - Commissioner Pöschel (Andreas Guenther) sends greetings.
