Paul Simon: He will be releasing a new album in a few weeks

Paul Simon (76, "Homeless"), the first half of the famous folk-rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, is releasing a new album in just a few weeks. This has announced the record label Legacy Recordings. "In The Blue Light" is supposed to be released on September 7, but does not contain completely new songs.

Instead, Simon returns to old recordings on the Longplayer and breathes in this new life. "This album is made up of songs that I thought were nearly right or that were strange enough to be missed the first time," the musician explains. Among other things, he recorded new arrangements for the fresh versions of the songs, partly changed harmonious structures and also adapted texts whose meaning was not clear enough. Included on the album are a total of ten songs, including "Questions For The Angels", "Darling Lorraine", "The Teacher" and "Love".

At the end of his tour

The release takes place as part of the last concerts of his farewell tour. The "Homeward Bound - Farewell Tour" will lead Simon to New York City four times, where he will give his final concert at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on September 22nd. In February, the singer announced that this would be his last tour. He loves to make music and his voice is still strong, but the hardships of the many trips are too much for him and he wants to spend more time with his wife and family.
