Michelle Wolf: On Twitter Trump takes the comedian to the chest

In April, Michelle Wolf (33, "Nice Lady") vigorously shared with US President Donald Trump (72) at the White House traditional correspondents' dinner. About half a year later, however, this can not leave the matter alone. Trump described Wolf on Twitter as "so-called comedian" and told her to have failed at the gala so much that at the next dinner with the tradition of being invited to invite a comedian. This is a "good first step" for a comeback of a "dying tradition". He also added, "Maybe I'm going?" Trump had not attended the event in the past two years.

As expected, Wolf did not want to let this tweet sit on his own. "I bet you would be on my side if I killed a journalist," she replied on Twitter. She alludes to the case of Jamal Khashoggi and Trump's commitment to Saudi Arabia.

Everything "cowards"

On Monday it had become known that in 2019 no comedian would be invited to the Correspondents Dinner, but the author Ron Chernow (69). Again, Wolf responded, which had been in the spring in the criticism because their contribution was considered by many to be too snappy, defiant. She described members of the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) as "cowards" and stated that the media were "complicit." Besides, she could not be "more proud" of herself.
