Melania Trump: You can not dictate the TV program
First Lady Melania Trump (48) looks "every TV channel she wants" - that's what her spokeswoman said, according to CNN. Earlier it had been reported that US President Donald Trump (72) was allegedly upset that his wife had run CNN in Air Force One.
Melania Trump's spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham then explained that people should focus on the things the First Lady stepped in for, such as helping sick children, rather than looking at which TV channel she is watching, or on a tape with her husband's voice. A recording of a conversation had just caused a stir, apparently involving the payout of a woman claiming she had had a marital affair with Trump.
"Did you know that a baby with neonatal abstinence syndrome is born every 15 minutes? You might want to talk about the 160,000 children who go to school every day for fear of being bullied, or about 280,000 students physically getting physical each month attacked, "said Grisham, according to CNN. "It seems kinda silly to worry about which channel she sees on TV (by the way, every station she wants) or if she has heard about a recording in the news."
The reason for the excitement
The commentary on which station Melania Trump sees on television is a response to an article in The New York Times. It implied that the president was allegedly angry because his wife ran CNN in Air Force One when they were on the road last week. Donald Trump had previously publicly criticized CNN, calling the station a "fake news".
