Mel B introduced himself to psychiatry

Since the divorce of ex-husband Stephen Belafonte (43), singer Mel B (43) has been struggling with severe mental health problems and alcohol addiction. Now, the Spice Girl supposedly drew the line and decided to visit a psychiatric facility. In an interview with the British newspaper The Sun, she said she would start withdrawing in the next few weeks.

"I made no secret of the fact that I drank to numb my pain - how many people are doing it to cover what's really going on with them," the singer said. Not only the alcohol abuse is to make her difficult, even a pronounced sex addiction they get according to their confidant Rusty Updegraff (59) not under control.

The musician is said to have partly slept with three different men a day, including teen star Aaron Carter (30). He recently had himself drugged.

In addition to sex addiction and alcohol problems, the doctors have also found a post-traumatic stress disorder in the triple mother. "I'm not perfect and I never pretended to be it," says Mel B, "but I'm working on a better version of myself for my children - whom I love more than life itself - and for all the people who support me".

Mel B, who currently lives in Los Angeles, will tackle her withdrawal in her native Britain. "I've made the decision to get into a proper therapy program in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I'm very, very British, and I know that will work best for me."
