Make last-minute advent calendars

The 1st of December is knocking on the door, but you do not have an advent calendar yet? But then it's time! But before the big panic breaks loose: Even with little time you can tinker without much effort an Advent calendar. Blogger Mona has designed a last-minute advent calendar that you can do yourself at the very last minute. How it works, she reveals here.

If she does not bail other people out with last-minute advent calendar ideas, Mona writes on her blog "I love decoration" about DIY, decorating and baking. In the Advent season, Christmas calendars and other Christmas tinkering and ideas are, of course, next to advent calendars.

Make last-minute advent calendars - that's what you need:

  • Sandwich bags
  • Number stamp or a nice pen
  • Nice paper or wallpaper leftovers
  • Drawstring or satin ribbon
  • punch
  • scissors
  • Glue
  • Masking tape
  • possibly small trailer

Do Last Minute Advent Calendar yourself - here's how:

Just fold the sandwiches, punch two holes with the punch, and then pull a piece of string through it. Then close with a small loop. The numbers can then either be stamped or painted (stamping goes at the point a bit faster).

I got small pendants for the numbers, but of course you can also stamp or write the numbers directly on the bag. For the 6th and 24th of December, I decorated the bags with a nice wallpaper to make them stand out. Finally, just hang all the finished bags with masking tape in the form of a fir tree on the wall. And you have a quick, homemade, made with love, individual advent calendar.

It may also be a bit more expensive? More ideas for advent calendars Mona has put together here.
