Lupita Nyong'o: Less jobs because of her natural hair

The Kenyan actress and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o (35, "Black Panther") has obviously been discriminated against on numerous occasions because of her natural hair. In an interview with the magazine "Porter" Nyong'o now revealed that she has been shunned several times and not occupied due to her hair. She has heard so many times before: "You can not get a job with such hair." The problem in her eyes is that natural, African, ruffled hair will often be associated with uncivilized and wild.

Already in the last year she publicly discussed her hair. In November 2017, the magazine "Grazia" retouched the ponytail of Nyong'o in the cover story, giving the impression that the actress was wearing short hair. After Nyong'o complained about it via Instagram and published unedited pictures of the shoot, the magazine apologized.
