Live better with Feng Shui

How qi gives us strength

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: What is Feng Shui?

Mark Sakautzky: The Feng Shui doctrine is based on the Qi (pronounced chi), the principle of life energy. This is the material energy that surrounds us and that Feng Shui uses. The Qi can be felt in special moments, as a tingling in the stomach, in the chest or in the knees. For example, holding your beloved child in your arms or watching a great sunset. Who makes Tai Chi, knows this tingling too.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: What does Qi do to humans?

Mark Sakautzky: It gives him strength. We have to be careful in everyday life that we lose as little as possible of our qi. That starts with the choice of the seat in the restaurant. If we sit with our backs to the wall, we are protected. We have everything in sight and thus under control. For example, if the waiter drops a plate, we'll see what happens right from our seat. We are reassured, it is not a terrorist attack, but only a broken plate. When we sit with our backs to the room, we first have to turn around to see that. Due to the protective position, we consume much less life energy and can focus on more important things - such as the conversation with our counterpart.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: How do these insights affect my home furnishings?

Mark Sakautzky: As a Feng Shui consultant, I consider the apartment a living organism. It provides me with energy or robs me of it. The latter is the case, for example, with a flat in the basement. They can not grow a plant in the cellar, they do not get enough light and therefore not enough energy. The plant is an organism, just like humans. Both need light and water. In a basement apartment, the energy is directed downwards. That does not have to be bad: a hyperactive person who lives in a red-painted attic apartment could even be deliberately put in the cellar to ground her.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: They say that Feng Shui can also help with financial problems, relationship difficulties or a career low. How does this work?

Mark Sakautzky: That's right. A Feng Shui consultant is privately engaged in the following topics:

Partnership, erotic, sex

Money, occupation, career

health

Let's take the issue of partnership as an example: I come to a woman's apartment and notice that there the male side is stressed too much. That starts outside the house. If the entrance is, if I stand in front of it, on the right, the male, side and grow tall trees there, more male qualities are lived there. This is evident, for example, in the fact that the woman is more business-oriented or rather sons born daughters. The random choice of the apartment can therefore have very concrete effects. For example, such tendencies increase when an oak tree has been planted on the right side - a tree that stands for male energy. The woman radiates too much male qi through this energy, which often makes a man feel intuitive and refrain from it.

I look at the entrance. Is he inviting or not? Which symbolism predominates in the house? Which pictures are there? Pictures that stand for loneliness, like a woman from behind or a couple on the beach, who walks away from the viewer? Which books are on the shelf? Romance novels or books about self-realization? On which side of the bed does the woman sleep? On the male right side (when standing in front of the bed)? What shape does the apartment have? Is the southwest corner, which stands for partnership, perhaps missing, for example, because the house is L-shaped and located in the southwest terrace? If such symbols repeat, they may be the sign of relationship problems. The female side is under-emphasized. Outwardly, the resident makes everything to impede a partnership. Unknowingly, she blocks a relationship with it.

From directions and relationship stress

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: What does the Southwest have to do with the fact that my partnership is unhappy?

Mark Sakautzky: The compass points support certain processes, something that has been observed in nature thousands of years ago. The southwest is in this archetypal cycle for the harvest season. The harvest time, in turn, as the time in which is prepared for the winter, stands for family, partnership, care. Therefore, it is important to make especially the southwest corners in the apartment pretty and equipped with partnership symbolism. These can be candles, pictures depicting couples or pillows for dropping together. When L-shaped house with south-west terrace you should try to connect the terrace more with the house.Ideally with a winter garden, but also a framing of the terrace with plants is a good way to strengthen the partnership corner.

ChroniquesDuVasteMonde.com: Feng Shui is an Asian lesson. Is it possible to transfer them to us Europeans without further ado?

Mark Sakautzky: Yes. Because it is about universal laws of nature. The apply to a Chinese as well as a Dutchman. With Feng Shui, most people associate a Chinese symbolism - for example, the Chinese coin, which is hanging on the door as a symbol of wealth. If a customer likes that, it's fine. Then it works too. If not, I use it to develop my own symbolic language. Like a customer I asked, what connects them to wealth. She said "freedom," thinking of a flying eagle. So she collected feathers and put them in a vase. My job then was to calculate the ideal space for this vase to be a symbol of wealth.
