Lady Gaga: Four outfits for the red carpet of the Met Gala

Lady Gaga (33, "A Star Is Born") knows how to stand out on the red carpet. She confirmed that with a sensational performance at the Met Gala on Monday night in New York. The event was this time under the motto "Camp: Notes on Fashion". According to a statement by the museum, the term "camp" refers to an essay by Susan Sontag from 1964. In it, the author describes that "the essence of camp is the love of the unnatural", "of artificiality and exaggeration". Lady Gaga was not enough for an outfit!

She showed up first in a pompous, pink cape dress on the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The outfit comes from designer Brandon Maxwell (34), with whom the singer is a close friend. The heavy robe had a train over seven meters long. A matching oversized bow in pink adorned her hair and the make-up had adapted to the bright color of the dress. She walked along the red carpet with five dancers and assistants, then slipped out of the cape dress with the help of Maxwell, and a black corset dress came out.

However, the performance was not over yet, Lady Gaga then showed up in a pink, tight-fitting dress that reached down to the floor. Then the undressing continued until she was posing in the dark sparkling bra, panties, fishnet tights and high plateau boots on the stairs for the photographers.

Patron Anna Wintour

The Met Gala is considered one of the most exclusive social events in New York. The aim is to collect donations for the museum. Invited are above all trendy actors, models, designers and musicians. Patron for years is Anna Wintour (69), the editor-in-chief of the US Vogue.
