Knitting pattern for a mohair sweater
Instructions for a mohair sweater in size S / M / L
Material: 150/175/175 g Rosé Fb 74 "Silkhair" (70% mohair, 30% silk, run length 210 m / 25 g) by Lana Grossa. Knitting needles No. 5 (if you knit loosely) or 6 (if you knit tight - it is important that you come to the information in the stitch). 1 crochet hook No. 5.
Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!
The sweater is knitted with double thread.
Smooth right (GR): Rowing right, back rows left.
Mesh test (GR): 14 M x 24 R = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: Cast on 64/68/72 sts and work in a GR. 46/45/44 cm from the stop, mark the beginning of the armholes on both sides. 18/19/20 cm from marker of armholes bind off all sts loose.
Front: Work as for the back, but for the neckline 12/13/14 cm from the markings on the armholes bind off the middle 12 sts and bind off on both sides 9 times 1 st in each row.
Sleeve: Cast on 30/32/34 sts in stocking sts and knit in cro sts on both sides 6x1 sts each 6,5 cm = 42/44/46 sts. Cast off 45 cm from sts for ball on both sides 3 sts each and cast off Cast off 14 times in every row 14 times, then bind off the remaining 8/10/12 sts.
elaboration: Close the shoulder seams. Crochet the neckline with 1 round of sts. Crochet or sew all other seams together with Silkhair double thread so that the seams are on the outside! Close the side and sleeve seams and sew in the sleeves.
