Knitting pattern: cross-knit sweater

In size M and XL (all figures for size XL in square brackets, if they differ from size M)

You need: 550 [600] g petrol-colored wool, color no. 2 by Lana Grossa, quality "Eco" (75% merino extrafine, 15% superkid mohair, 10% polyamide, running length 80 m / 50 g), knitting needles size 7.

Rib pattern: Row: 1 st, 1 st. alternately. Backs: Knit the sts as they appear, re. M. right, left M. li.

Knitting tension: 19 stitches x 22 rows make 10 cm square.

Front and back: and the sleeves are knit across. The knitting direction is shown in the sectional diagram.

Back: Cast on 104 [108] sts and knit in back and forth rows in the basic pattern, doing so at the beginning of the 1st row for the bottom edge of the sweater. the 1st M. right knit. This M. in each R. re. work (also later on the sleeves). At the same time increase at the opposite side for the shoulder bevel M. d. H. Increase 5 times in every 4th row and 1 time in 6th row [4 times in every 4th row and 2 times in every 6th row]. Continue the pattern accordingly. In 25 [27] cm total height the rear center is reached. The part opposite finish, while the increases for the shoulder to decreases. Then cast off the sts.

Front: Work as the back but knit 2 sts in 14 [15] cm total for the front neckline, then dec 1 st on every other row 6 times. In 25 [27] cm total height the front center is reached. The part opposite finish, while the increases for the neckline to decreases.

Sleeve: Cast on 7 sts and work in back and forth rows in basic pattern, increasing sts at the end of each row, d. H. 5 times 7 stitches and 4 times 6 stitches (66 sts.). Continue the pattern laterally and at the last increase the last M. again as edge m. work (= lower sleeve edge). In 22 [23] cm total height the center of the sleeve is reached. The sleeve end the same, while the increases to decreases. Bind off the stitches.

elaboration: Cast on 21 sts for the stand-up collar and knit in back and forth rows in the basic pattern, making the 1st and last sts of each row as edge st. work. At 48 [50] cm total height, cast off the sts. Close the sleeve, shoulder and side seams (to *) and the small back seam in the stand-up collar. Sew on the sleeves and sew on the stand-up collar.
