Knitting instructions for a simple bolero

A bolero is just as easy to knit as a simple scarf and therefore a great project for knit beginners. Knit straight and sew together, you do not have to do any more.

For the wine red bolero I took 60 stitches, which results in a 30 cm wide knit. One knits smooth right or kraus right up to a height of about 55 cm. This will be the first sleeve opening.

You take another 60 stitches and knit the back - my body size and figure is about 40 cm. My advice is simply to knit new stitches with a ball of yarn on the needle on which the piece is placed, and then to knit a total of 120 stitches in the following rows. So the old and the new stitches are brought together.

After about 40 cm, the back is finished. Then the 60 stitches are chained off. It follows the second arm opening. You knit again about 55 cm. The knitted part should have a T-shape.

Then the short sides, the T-arms, are sewn to the T-trunk. For more glitter in everyday life, I embroidered the shoulders of the blue boleros with sequins.

I knitted both boleros on my own. The centimeter details for the knitwear fit so with a height of 1.62 m and dress size 38/40. If it should be larger or smaller, take your own back as a measure of the width of the back.
