Knit poncho with fringes

Instructions for a poncho with fringes in one size

Time spent: about 24 hours

Difficulty: medium

Material: 500 g Gray Color 253 "Brushed Fleece" (65% merino wool, 30% alpaca, 5% polyamide, run length 105 m / 50 g) by Rowan, knitting needles No. 6 (if you knit loosely) or 7 (if you knit tight - It is important that you come to the information in the stitch sample), 1 pigtail needle and 1 crochet hook No. 6 to 7.

Pear pattern (PM): 1st R: 1 M right, 1 M left. All Back Orders: The M knit as they appear. 3rd row: 1 st left, 1 st right. Repeat the 1st to 4th Rs.

Double braid (DZ) over 20 M: 1st R: All M right. All back rows: Knit the M on the left. 3rd and 5th R: All M right. RO: Work 5 sts to the right (place 5 sts on a needle behind the work, knit the following 5 sts on the right, then knit the 5 sts on the right), 5 sts on the left (5 sts on a pigtail before the Work, knit the following 5 sts on the right, then knit the 5 sts of the pigtail needle on the right). 9th R: All M right. Repeat the 1st to 10th Rs.

Mesh test (PM): 11 M x 18 R = 10 x 10 cm.



Back: Cast on 100 sts and knit in the PM. Cast off 60 cm from the shoulder for both sides in each of the 2nd row 13 x 2 and 4 x 3 sts, then cast off the remaining 24 sts.

Front: Cast on 108 sts and knit as follows: 44 sts in PM, 20 sts in double, 44 sts in PM. 52 cm from the stop for the V neck, divide the sts in the middle (center of the double plait) and end both sides separately, knitting one side out of the cross thread in each side of the V lace (= edge stitch). For the V-skewing knit 10 braids each according to the pattern and knit the first two sts next to the braid in the PM. Repeat this decrease 12 times in every 3rd row. At the same time cast off 60 cm from the shoulder for both sides in every 2nd row. R 13 x 2, 2 x 3 and 2 x 5 (the last 2 decreases stronger!) Sts.

elaboration: Attach fringes across the entire width (90 cm) at both edges of the hem, attaching 4 sts each to 4 threads of 50 cm length as follows: Lead the crochet hook through the knitting edge, put all 4 threads halfway over the crochet hook and slightly through the edge pull, then pull the ends through the loop and tighten. Close the shoulder seams and crochet at the neckline a R Krebsmaschen (solid M from left to right).
